Radio Station Inspection
Radio Station Inspection is an administrative process designed to ensure that a given radio station complies with the technical standards outlined in the international ITU Radio Regulations, as well as domestic laws and decrees. These inspections aim to safeguard users from illegal or malicious radio frequencies by proactively eliminating interferences.
To keep pace with the dynamically evolving communications environment, the KCA contributes to establishing a sustainable radio frequency management framework. This involves supporting the enhancement of radio frequency management regimes and related laws and regulations, particularly in the areas of radio station licensing and inspection.
The KCA is also dedicated to establishing a secure radio wave environment and alleviating any concerns about RF radiation. This involves disseminating information to the public and measuring the RF radiation strengths of radio stations, as mandated by the government.
The Radio Wave Technology Center is actively involved in the development and dissemination of new inspection methods for 5G mobile communications. Additionally, it serves as an accredited calibration lab (KS Q ISO/IEC 17025, accredited by KOLAS), conducting frequency calibration. The center further offers high-precision testing equipment and antenna chambers, supporting technological consulting in industry-academia research and development collaboration.
